Levi’s Women’s Low Pro Jeans Review
First Impressions
Inspired by the early ’00s style, Levi’s Women’s Low Pro Jeans offer a nostalgic throwback with a modern twist. Featured in a low-rise with a bootcut silhouette, these jeans provide an easy fit through the hip and thigh while pitching slightly in the front rise. The mid-rise design measures 10.75″ with an inseam of 31″.
Fit and Comfort
These jeans are crafted from 100% cotton, meaning they don’t offer the stretch that some might be used to with other denim brands. However, this is a positive aspect for those seeking a durable pair of jeans that will age gracefully over time.
- Perfect for those who appreciate traditional, non-stretch denim.
- Expect a bit of stiffness initially, but they will soften with wear.
- They do run a bit large, so consider sizing down for a snug fit.
- For reference, I’m 5’6″ and 140 lbs and found that the size 28 was a perfect fit after sizing down.
Style and Versatility
The low-rise and bootcut design give these jeans a trendy yet timeless look. They are slightly baggy, which adds to their charm and comfort. They can be dressed up or down easily, making them a versatile addition to any wardrobe.
- Great for casual wear or a night out.
- The bootcut silhouette pairs well with both sneakers and heels.
- The denim is of high quality and looks great even after multiple washes.
Final Thoughts
Levi’s Women’s Low Pro Jeans are a fantastic choice for anyone looking to relive the early ’00s fashion while enjoying the benefits of high-quality, 100% cotton denim. They might require a bit of breaking in, but the long-term comfort and durability make them well worth the investment.
- Highly recommend for those who prefer traditional, non-stretch jeans.
- Consider sizing down for the best fit and be prepared for a bit of initial stiffness.
- These jeans are a classic staple that will remain stylish for years to come.

I usually wear a size 28 (or size 6), but I ordered a 29 and they fit well (for reference, I’m about 5’9″ and weigh between 145-155 lbs). These jeans don’t have much stretch, which I wish they had a bit more of. They are very flattering with a nice mid-rise and a baggy fit through the leg. For an even baggier look, consider going two sizes up, but be cautious of a possible waist gap. The waist gap on these isn’t bad, but it could be better. Overall, they’re a good pair of jeans and I would recommend them!

The pants were a bit long, but I trimmed and frayed the edges, and it blends perfectly with the style. I sized down, but they still feel a bit too big. I’m considering whether to buy another pair or just embrace the baggy look.

I love it, the quality is evident.

Firstly, these jeans are 100% cotton. If you’re looking for stretchy jeans that conform to your curves, these aren’t for you. They will be a bit stiff initially, but that’s a plus if you want durable jeans. Over time, they’ll soften without stretching out or puckering oddly. These are jeans for the long haul, not quick fashion fixes.
Being 100% cotton, expect them to be snug after washing or when first tried on, as they’ll loosen throughout the day. Also, avoid washing them after every wear unless necessary. These are the benefits of 100% cotton jeans. If you prefer something different, there are plenty of options with less cotton.
Now, onto the specifics: These are my go-to jeans. I’m 5’6″, weigh 140 pounds, with wider hips and thick thighs. I dislike jeans that cling to my thighs, and these fit perfectly without excess fabric. They’re not low-rise, usually fitting comfortably at mid-rise.
Size-wise, it depends on your body shape and the jeans’ finish. These are best for those with fewer curves, like the models shown. I had to size up for some finishes to fit my hips, causing a slight waist gap when sitting, easily fixable by a tailor or DIY tutorials.
Size can vary by color. I’ve tried four colors and wore either a 28 or 29. The light gray fits snug and high-waisted, so a 29 works. The 29 in the “breathe out” version is slightly large at the waist without alterations but not to the point of falling down. I’d have been better off with a 28. Natural fibers like these can vary slightly with dye.
The length is perfect, hitting the top of my foot without dragging. They’re heavier/thicker than cotton/poly blends but still midweight, suitable for spring, fall, and winter. I wouldn’t wear them in a Southern summer, but they accommodate fleece-lined tights in colder weather without looking bulky.
For me, these jeans are perfect once you understand what you’re getting.

Definitely size down. I normally wear 27s, but the 26s fit perfectly with room to move. They are so flattering for girls with big hips and smaller waists. So comfy too, especially for Levi’s!

I followed another reviewer’s advice to order 3 inches smaller than my actual waist size, and it worked perfectly. They fit beautifully. I am 5’6″ and 160 lbs, and I ordered size 29. They are made of 100% cotton, so there’s no stretch, but the denim is soft. I ordered two colors and am still waiting for the second pair to arrive.

These jeans are incredibly comfortable and fit perfectly at the waist! The best baggy jeans I’ve ever owned!

I’m quite particular about my jeans, usually opting for brands like Mothers, Citizens of Humanity, and AG. However, I felt nostalgic and decided to try a pair of Levis. I initially bought a wide-legged, baggy pair from the Levi store that were pricier, and while they were okay, they weren’t suitable for daily wear. Then I tried these and hit the jackpot! I absolutely love these jeans—they’re comfortable, have a great color (just perfect), and wash well. I’ve received numerous compliments from my husband, friends, and even strangers who ask about the style and where I got them. They sit low, have the perfect amount of bagginess, and highlight the derriere nicely. I’m 5’4″ and 118 lbs, and although I usually wear a size 27, I ended up exchanging them for a size 26, which fit great. They do stretch a bit with wear, so sizing down was a smart move. They just touch the ground on me, giving a slightly slouchy look that I wanted, and they shrank a tiny bit in the dryer but still look fantastic. Highly recommend!

In my 63 years, I had almost given up on finding a pair of Levis that fit me. I once had a pair of boyfriend 501’s that I adored, but they were loose, distressed, and sat low on my hips. After gaining some weight, I found them unwearable. Being curvy and short (5’4″, 23″ waist, 43″ hip, around 150 lbs), the straight 501’s just didn’t suit my shape. With most jeans brands adding too much stretch, my favorite Gap 1969 jeans also didn’t work anymore.
Intrigued by a celebrity endorsement and an attractive price of $44.99, I decided to try these Levis. I ordered three pairs in sizes 30″, 31″, and 32″. Here’s how they worked out:
The 31″ pair fit initially but stretched poorly, making the rise too long. They did hit nicely at my hip bones but gapped at the waist and were too long overall. I sent them back.
The 32″ pair turned out to be nearly identical to my old boyfriend jeans. They sat low on the hips and felt slouchy in a good way. Though they stretched throughout the day, they softened and returned to their original fit after washing. I even cut the hem for a frayed look and can roll them up if needed. A delightful surprise and definite keepers.
I was worried about the 30″ pair and almost canceled the order. I’m so glad I didn’t! Despite being too long, they fit perfectly in the waist, hip, and thigh after stretching. No gap at the back when sitting, and the crotch stayed in place. I also cut the hem out of impatience. They fit so well and feel great.
The denim is of good quality, not too thick to be stiff, and I love the absence of stretch. I’m thrilled to have found these jeans and now enjoy two different looks. Plus, the price was fantastic!
